Sigma Stoic — daily Stoic quotes & wisdom

The short version: Sigma Stoic works fully offline and does not require an account. Everything you do in the app (saved quotes, streaks, journal entries, settings) is stored only on your device — we never see it and it never reaches our servers, because we don't run any. The one exception is advertising: the app shows ads through Google AdMob, which may collect limited device data to display them. Details below.

1. Who this policy is for

This Privacy Policy explains how the Sigma Stoic mobile application (the “App”, package com.stoic.dailywisdom) handles information. By using the App, you agree to this policy.

2. Information the App stores on your device

The App stores the following locally on your device only. It is not transmitted to us and we have no access to it:

A name or nickname you choose, and the profile picture you pick (from the built-in set)
Quotes you save or favorite, your reading history and collections
Your streaks, XP, levels, achievements, quests and daily progress
Journal entries (morning intentions and evening reflections) you write
Your preferences: theme, language, sounds, reminder times and other settings

This data lives in the App's local storage. Uninstalling the App deletes it. You can also clear it any time from the App's settings (Reset), and you can export or import your own backup file.

3. Information we collect about you

None. We do not operate any server or backend. We do not ask you to create an account, we do not collect your name, email, contacts, location, photos or files, and we do not track your behavior.

4. Advertising (Google AdMob)

To keep the App free, Sigma Stoic shows occasional ads through Google AdMob. Google is an independent advertising provider and may collect and process certain information to serve ads, including your device's advertising identifier, IP address, general device information and app-usage signals. This processing is governed by Google's own policies:

You can limit ad personalization at any time in your device settings under Settings → Google → Ads, where you can also reset or delete your advertising ID.

5. Notifications

If you enable reminders, the App schedules local notifications on your device (for example, your daily quote). These are generated on-device and are not sent through, or stored on, any server of ours.

6. Permissions and why they're used

Internet — required only to load ads.
Notifications — to deliver your daily reminders on your device.
Storage / Downloads — only when you tap “Download”, to save a quote image to your device's Downloads folder.
Set wallpaper — only when you choose to set a quote as your wallpaper.

7. Children

The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Data sharing & selling

We do not sell your personal information. Because we don't collect it, we have nothing to share, other than the ad-related processing performed by Google AdMob described in Section 4.

9. Security

Your in-app data remains on your device and is protected by your device's own security. Please keep your device secured with a passcode or biometric lock.

10. Your choices

Reset all App data from the App's settings, or uninstall the App to remove everything.
Turn reminders on or off in the App.
Limit or reset ad personalization in your device's Google Ads settings.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
